I had the pleasure of working with SrASteven Goldmann while we were attached to the 732 Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, Detachment 2/Rough Riders at Forward Operating Base Mahmadiyah, Iraq, from Nov 08 till Jan 10. • This assignment was one of the most deadly/dangerous assignments there are for Security Forces. Steven was very young to the military, actually was an Airman First Class, but the level of responsibility which was bestowed upon him was unmatched. He was responsible and troubleshoot all facets of communication equipment which maintained communication with all outside the wiresquads.
Steven was directly responsible for setting up of all our communications systems; VOIP Phone, Call Managers, Network switches, Routers, Servers and many other devices. • Additionallyhe made it possible for interoperability on systems that were never possible before this time. Steven was also our lead Electronic Warfare officer at the time. He ensured our countermeasures were operational and updated with the most current software. • He went out of his way daily to ensure the crypto was the most current.
Steven Goldmann • This directly contributed to the saving of US personnel lives. Steven was also directly responsible for the relocation and stand up of millions of dollars worth of communications equipment. • The Air Force will surly take a loss in losing Steven, but I know your company will quickly see the potential and dedication to complete the job no matter what it is as Idid.
