  2. What’s in it for me? For more than forty years at KABT meetings, the most often heard comment is something like: “I really get fired up when I get a chance to learn and share with other biology teachers ...I just wish I could find time to do it more often.”

  9. The META section is for logging onto the site if you are an author or you can subscribe to the RSS feeds to keep updated of any new entries to the KABT BioBlog.

  10. ScienceDaily News is another science news update service.

  11. Books of Interest is a random listing of books from my library (Brad W.) Currently, the list is mostly popular science books. It does not include many of my field manuals, textbooks or academic titles. I’ll try to add these when I can spend some time at home.

  12. Writing a Comment Anyone can comment in reaction to a specific post. Since this is a public forum for teachers, the first time a comment is submitted by a new reader the comment has to be approved by Brad W. Let’s see how one goes about writing a comment.

  13. Here we’ve scrolled down the page to a post that interests us. Notice there are no comments. Click on Comments or the Post Title to go to the post’s page.

  14. Here’s the page for the Post. Notice the banner is different and there’s more below. Let’s SCROLL down.

  15. At the bottom of the page is a box for entering a comment. Let’s add a comment.

  16. Simply type in your comment. And hit the Submit button.

  17. If you have been approved for comments, your comment is now part of the posting. Otherwise it will go to BW for approval. That only happens the first time you try to comment. The original post’s author is notified about the comment. Sometimes a discussion between the original author and the different comment authors begins at this point.

  18. Writing a Post For now, only the KABT Board members have Author privileges—meaning they can begin a new post. Posting is a bit more involved and we can cover it another time. Members interested in becoming post authors need to contact Brad Williamson at: brad.williamson@comcast.net We’ll stop here for any questions. Here’s a listing of all the post titles to date.
