The CSI Mini-Cassia Education Center • The Mini-Cassia center offers a wide variety of general education and community education classes, as well as short term and workforce training options. • In the spring of 2007, 1900 students were served at the Mini-Cassia Center, including 400 distance learners.
Without Leaving the Mini-Cassia Area, Students Can Obtain: • A two year liberal arts degree • State or federal apprenticeship certification • A four year education degree • A special education degree • All nursing program pre-requisite coursework
Students are able to transfer CSI coursework obtained through the Mini-Cassia Center to programs at virtually any four-year College or UniversityCourses are delivered in aface-to-face classroom, over the CSI Microwave System, or via the internet
Student Assistance: • Remedial classes, tutoring, and ESL coursework are also offered at the Mini-Cassia Center. • Students attending the Mini-Cassia Center may access any other support services offered by the College of Southern Idaho.
Short Term Training • Dutchmen Training – Over 140 employees trained to date • Welding Classes - 40 Students • Electrical Apprenticeship Classes - 40 Students • Maintenance Technology Apprenticeship Classes – 10 Students • The MC Center has been used for employee training and as an interview site by Gossner Foods, Idaho Fish and Game, Kraft, and DOT Foods • Job service summer youth program
Customizing Education • CSI is able to customize short term training and non-credit classes to meet business and community needs. • Additional academic and technical programs can be brought to the Mini-Cassia Center upon request. • If you don’t find what you need, just ask…
