No Monopolies • The Government should never infringe on our Second Amendment Rights • The forefathers wanted us to have guns for self defense
Self Defense • Being a submissive victim does not always help • Self protection makes few mistakes • Guns are an excellent aid for self defense
Political Sides of the Issues • Deals with registration, taxing, and licensing of guns • Aid to police by disarming criminals • Registration and Confiscation
Guns’ Effects On Children • Role models reduce accidents • Gun use should not be taught by cartoons • Laws about how to store guns
Police and Guns • Police need guns because the criminals have them • Privately paid cops would lead to a downfall in American safety • Safety would decrease fear
Negative outcomes of guns • Unregulated guns cause deaths and injuries • Improper storing of guns leads to crime • Tourists and easy targets
Southern Views on Guns • Part of their heritage • Way to protect their honor • Tendency towards violence
Alternatives for Gun Control • Toll-free hotline for gun sellers to use • Enforce tighter laws to keep criminals away from guns • Criminals will try anything to get guns to inflict fear
Legislation • 1930’s-Crime • 1960’s-Terrorisim on the home front • If the government is willing to enforce their laws, their citizens will abide by them.
