  4. Pre-Filing Bankruptcy Credit Counseling • The Pre-Filing Bankruptcy Credit Counseling Class is offered by MyOnlineBankruptcyClass.com and is *approved by the US Trustee. The Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 requires people who plan to file for bankruptcy protection (with limited exception) to take a credit counseling class from a government-approved organization within 180 days before they file. They also must complete a debtor education course to have their debts discharged. These classes can't be taken at the same time. We offer the class online, and it is an interactive class that takes approximately 2 hours to complete. You may log in and log back out and continue were you left off. Upon completion of the class you will be issued a Certificate of Completion. The cost of the class is $24 for an individual filer and $25 for joint filers. MyOnlineBankruptcyClass.com is not approved to offer the Pre-Filing Bankruptcy Credit Counseling Class in Alabama and North Carolina.

  5. Pre-Discharge Debtor Education • The Online Pre-Discharge Debtor Education Class is offered by MyOnlineBankruptcyClass.com and is *approved by the US Trustee. The Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 requires people to take a Pre-Discharge Debtor Education Class prior to receiving their Bankruptcy Discharge. This class is offered online by MyOnlineBankruptcyClass.com and it lasts a minimum of 2 hours. You may log in and log back out and continue were you left off. Upon completion of the class you will be issued a Certificate of Completion. The cost of the class is $23 for an individual filer and $24 for joint filers. MyOnlineBankruptcyClass.com is not approved to offer the Pre-Filing Bankruptcy Credit Counseling Class in Alabama and North Carolina.
