What can I expect during an internal pelvic floor muscle exam

Before the exam, the therapist will explain the muscles and structures being assessed using a model. The physical therapy in Hackensack patients will be asked to provide consent and can change their minds at any time. The therapist will use clean, non-latex gloves and may insert one or two fingers into the vaginal canal or rectum to assess the pelvic floor muscles.
