1. REGISTER EVENTS 45 DAYS OUT 2. Any off campus event sponsored by a registered student organization that uses the WSU name and alcohol is being served or alcohol is on the premises, must follow the alcohol policy listed in the handbook as well as FIPG guidelines available in the Office of Student Activities. 3. Using an outside caterer, fill out an external catering form and return to Terri Mileo, Student Union and Event Services 4. Any indoor or outdoor space used for having an event must be reserved. 5. Selling food, you must purchase a temporary food license from Greene County Combined Health District, http://www.gcchd.org/ or call 937-374-5600 YOU DO NOT NEED A LICENSE TO HAVE A BAKE SALE

IT’S THE LAW If you are SELLING FOOD, you are required to apply for a temporary food license. You may obtain this form and other information pertaining to selling food on the Greene County Combined Health District’s website: http://www.gcchd.org/ Go to Environmental Health section and then go to Food Services section.Currently, the cost of a license is $37.00 As stated, you may NOT prepare food off site and then bring it to campus to sell. BAKE SALES are the exception to this rule. All food sold at Bake Sales must be individually wrapped. See policy in the Student Handbook, http://www.wright.edu/students/handbook/03_63.html

If you are GIVING FOOD AWAY or ACCEPTING DONATIONS, you are not required to have a food license. You are, however, REQUIRED to follow the safe food handling procedures that are listed in the Greene County safe food handling brochure. You may view it on line by going to the GCCHD website: http://www.gcchd.org/ , Go to Environmental Health section and then go to Food Services section. You may also obtain a copy of the brochure in the Office of Student Activities, 019 Student Union. You are required to submit an External Catering Form to Terri Mileo in Student Union and Event Services if your organization is having food at an event that is not provided by Sodexho. This form may be obtained in the Student Union and Event Services Office, 186 Student Union (next to the bookstore)

Representative from your student organization needs to attend at least 3 House of Reps meeting per quarter to remain in good standing. BENEFITS Eligible to participate in on campus events such as Fall Fest, Homecoming, Student Organization Fair, Tunnel Painting, May Daze Eligible to receive free copies, 50 black and white OR 20 color per week Apply for SFC funding for an event your organization is sponsoring or co-sponsoring Keep up-to-date on issues that affect student organizations
