3. Many indefinite pronouns are always singular. Words that end in –one, -body, and –thing are always singular:

6. What is the nominative case? The nominative case refers to the subject of verb—the doer of the action or the thing that is being described.
For example:
The man bit the dog with his sharp teeth.
