  2. Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences (CHSAS) CHSAS was the first urban, college prep agricultural high school in the nation. While many schools offer agricultural courses, in this school every student majors in agriculture.

Adapted Career Pathways Program – For Students with a Moderate – to – Severe Cognitive Disability Focus on one of 4 Agricultural Career Pathways Agricultural Mechanics & Woodshop Technology Animal Science Horticulture Food Science 55 minute class – 5 Days Each Week Taught by regular agricultural education teachers

  13. Southside Occupational Academy Rotation Program – Students with Severe Physical and/or Neurological Disability 10 Week Experience at CHSAS Taught by Southside Occupational Academy Teachers Exposure to non-disabled peers Agricultural Occupational Experiences in: Animal Science Horticulture Food Science Food Retail Sales

CHSASProgram for Students with Severe Physical and/or Neurological Disability Full School Day – ½ day at CHSAS and ½ day in community Taught by 2 Special Education Teachers Exposure to non-disabled peers Participate in Adapted Career Pathways Program Animal Science Horticulture Food Science Swimming in school indoor pool
