Eostre is connected with renewal and fertility. • The germanic Goddess of fertility and spring, Eostre (pronounced yo’ster) or easter, was celebrated with the ritual lightning of dawn fires as a protection for the crops. She symbolizes spring time, new growth, and rebirth.
