What is See Blue Go Green? See Blue Go Green is a website developed by the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture. The site provides information for Kentuckians about environmentally friendly, green topics.
What is green? The term green means different things to different people. Simply put, green is environmentally responsibility. Making choices that are environmentally friendly.
Why go green? Routine decisions, such as which household cleaner to purchase or when to water the garden, can affect our environment. Understanding how these daily choices can impact our environment is key to conserving and preserving our natural resources, and ensuring a healthy environment for present and future generations.

See Blue Go Green At Home… Give items you no longer use to a local charity. Repair broken items instead of buying new. Eating out can result in a lot of waste. Prepare meals at home. Energy is precious. Turn off lights & appliances when not in use. Needa new <insert item here>? Shop at local yard sales or consignment shops for secondhand items.
See Blue Go Green At Work… Give new employees an informational packet on your office’s green practices and policies. Recycle printer and toner cartridges. Eliminate newsletter, newspaper, and magazine subscriptions that are not read on a regular basis. Check to see if subscriptions that are read are available online. Email documents and messages when possible. Nuke leftovers in the microwave for lunch instead of eating out.
See Blue Go Green At School… Get a group of friends together and start an environmental club. Reuse backpacks, binders, and notebooks from previous years instead of buying new. Empty coffee cans and jelly jars are great for storing hair clips, pencils, extra change, and much more. Establish a recycling program at your school if you don’t already have one.
