How to Become a Real Estate Sales Person in Singapore Now that you have decided to pursue the career of a real estate sales person, you want to know how to become one of the successful icons of the business. First of all, you should understand that other than meeting the formal qualifications needed to become an RES Singapore, you should also possess some inherent traits that are needed earnestly in this business.

  2. Real estate is all about dealing with different kinds of people and convincing them with your ideas and deals. You should know how to talk with people in a polite yet effective way, making them clear what they are going to gain through a particular deal and how you are going to help them for getting the deal accomplished.

Here are some of the key requirements that are needed when you make a start in this career. • You should be at least 21 years of age. • You should be a citizen or permanent resident of Singapore. • You should have passed at least four GCE O-Level subjects or have attained an equivalent qualification. If you’ve got all the prerequisites mentioned above, you can focus towards meeting other requirements in order to start your career as an RES in Singapore. For becoming an official real estate salesperson, you need to acquire the CEA license. This again entails attaining a number of other qualifications viz.

  4. • Pursuing and completing the RES course from a provider accredited from CEA (Council for Estate Agencies) Singapore. • Getting registered for the RES exam and passing it. • Submitting the application for becoming a real estate salesperson to the CEA Singapore through a licensed estate agency within two years after passing the RES exam. You should be ready with your budget to become an RES Singapore, as pursuing the RES course, getting registered for RES exam all require some stipulated amount of fee. Also, during the initial years of business, you need to be financially equipped in order to make investments for setting up an office, visiting cards etc. You can be licensed only through one of the estate agencies; thus, it is extremely important to get associated with the right estate agency and right team that can take your career to newer levels.
