The pace of highway construction has also increased to stand at 37 km per day which is a boon indeed. There has been capacity expansion by means of line doubling and electrification and Vande Bharat Express for Indian Railways. 15 Vande Bharat trains are already operational, while 400 more are planned to be manufactured in the next three years. Making special mention of the development taking place in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), Mr. Devender Singh said that the Chenab Bridge-the highest railway bridge is an example in itself of the government’s continued commitments.
