  10. Our Services Liver Transplant A liver transplant is a procedure in which a sick or malfunctioning liver is replaced with all or part of a healthy liver that has been donated. Mostly a healthy liver comes from a deceased organ donor. And sometimes a living person in good health might donate a part of their liver. The donor might be a family member or someone whose blood group is an adequate match. Liver Cancer Liver cancer, as can be understood from the name, is a type of cancer that begins in the liver cells. Hepatocellular carcinoma, the most common type of liver cancer, develops in the cells of the liver known as Hepatocytes. Primary liver cancer is caused due to prevalence of hepatitis caused by virus causing chronic hepatitis.

  11. Our Services Liver Cirrhosis Liver cirrhosis is a chronic liver disease, in which scar tissues develop on the liver surface and prevent normal functioning. It disrupts blood flow and slows the ability of the liver to process nutrients, hormones, and toxins. Liver Hepatitis Inflammation of the liver is generally referred to as Hepatitis. A number of viruses (viral hepatitis), substances, medications, alcohol, certain genetic abnormalities, an overactive immune system that mistakenly attacks the liver (autoimmune hepatitis), and other factors can result in liver inflammation.

  12. Our Services Living Donor Liver Transplant Mostly organ donations for organ transplants come from people who are no more, but it is different with the liver. Our liver can grow back to its original size from a small piece hence creating more opportunities for a transplant. A living donor can willfully volunteer to donate a piece of their liver to someone in need. Autoimmune Hepatitis Autoimmune hepatitis is a disorder in which the body’s immune system turns against liver cells leading to inflammation, liver damage, and swelling. It is an acute (short-term) disorder, if left untreated may lead to scar formation and ultimately will lead to cirrhosis.
