The Fiat PuntoEvo is the new version of the Fiat Punto. It gets cosmetic updates but retains the same engine options - 1.2-litre petrol, 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel. The cosmetic updates include new headlamps, grille, bumper including the trapezoidal fog-lamps with chrome-line housing. Exterior • The fine Italian design gives a majestic look on the outside. The headlamps are now pulled back and the grille is even more pronounced and gets a chrome outline. The fog lamp housing too gets chrome finish. The Reindeer headlamps provide better visibility and style. • Dimensions • The PuntoEvo is 3989 mm in length, 1687 mm in width, 1495 mm in height, 2510 mm in wheelbase and 195 mm ground clearance with a boot of 280 L.
Colours • The PuntoEvo comes in colours like Red, White, Black, Minimal Grey, Magnesio Grey, Tuscan Wine, and Gold. • Suspension • The suspension is independent wheel suspension with Mcpherson struts, helical coil springs, double acting telescopic dampers and stabilizer bar at the front and torsion beam, helical coil springs and double acting telescopic dampers at the rear for EvoPunto. • Brakes • The brakes are ventilated discs at the front and drum brakes at the rear.
Wheels • The wheels are 14” and 15” alloy for Emotion variants and 16” alloy for Sport variants in EvoPunto. Engines • The petrol EvoPunto variants are offered in a 1.2 L with a maximum power output of 67 bhp at 6000 rpm and a peak torque of 96 Nm at 2500 rpm. The 1.4 L petrol engine delivers 88.7 bhp at 6000 rpm and 115 Nm of peak torque at 4500 rpm. The power is transferred to the front wheels via 5-speed manual gearbox for both. The 1.3 L multi jet diesel is tuned differently. The entry-level and mid variants are tuned to deliver a power output of 74.9 bhp at 4000 rpm and maximum torque of 197 Nm at 1750 rpm. The top-end variants return an output of 88.7 bhp at 4000 rpm and a maximum torque of 209 Nm at 4000 rpm. Both the diesel engines are coupled with 5-speed manual gearbox. The top petrol variants return around 15.8 kmpl while the top diesel variant delivers 20.5 kmpl.
