The Australian Computer Society is the assessment authority in Australia to assess the capability of prospective migrants with an ICT background for migration purposes. In short, it assesses the IT competency of those who want to work in the Australian ICTfield. Eligibilitycriteria: There are different criteria that are dependent on the level of your work experience and educational background. Let’s knowthem:

  4. TemporaryGraduate: 01 You need to complete anAustralian Bachelor Degree or higher, and the degree needs to be an ICT Major and closely relevant to the chosen occupation. You don’t need to have worked in thefield. PostAustralianStudySkills Assessment: You need to have an Australian Bachelor Degree or higher. The Australian qualification you have must be an ICT major and closely relevant to the chosenoccupation. In addition, you need to complete1 year of related post-study work experience or complete the ACS Professional Yearprogram. 02

Skills: If having a Bachelor’s Degree or higher andthedegreeiscloselyrelevanttoyour occupation, and it is an ICT major, then youneedtoshow2yearsofrelatedwork experienceinthelast10yearsor4years ofrelatedworkexperienceanytimeinthe past. InthecaseofhavingaBachelor’sDegree or higher and the degree is not closely relevanttothechosenoccupation,andit isanICTmajor,youhavetoshow4years ofrelatedworkexperienceanytimeinthe past.

If with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher and the degree is closely relevant to the chosen occupation, and it is an ICT minor, then you must have 5 years of related work experience in thelast10yearsor6yearsofrelated workexperienceanytimeinthepast. If you have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher and the degree is not closely related to the occupation you chose, anditisanICTminor,show6yearsof related work experience anytime in thepast.

If having an Advanced Diploma, Diploma orAssociateDegreeandthequalification is closely relevant to your occupation and it is an ICT Major, show 5 years of related work experience earned in the last 10 years or 6 years of related work experienceanytimeinthepast. If having a Diploma, Associate Degree or Advanced Diploma and the qualification isnotcloselyrelatedtoyouroccupation, and it is an ICT major, show 6 years of work experience earned anytime in the past.

  8. RPL: If having a non-ICT Diploma or higher, you must have at least6yearsofrelatedworkexperience.Besidesthat,you needtohaveasuccessfulRPLAustraliaassessment. In the case of not having even any tertiary qualification, youneedtohave8yearsofrelatedworkexperienceanda successful RPLapplication. IfyouhavechosentheRPLpathway,thendemonstrate howyouattainedyourICTknowledge.Itrequiresyouto submit 2 project reports. The report must have details about your career episode and must show the ICT knowledgethatyougainedfromaworkingsituation. Besidesthat,wealsoadviseyoutohireaprofessionalRPL ACS report writing professional for a positive RPL Australian Computer Societyskills assessment.
