RAM-EESH INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION ABOUT THE INSTITUTE Ram-Eesh Institute of Education (RIE) was established in year 1999 by renowned educationist Dr. R. C. Sharma with the objective of providing excellence in teacher education and training in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, through a rigorous and disciplined implementation of the syllabus as provided by the University. Along with the intellectual and academic development of the students, the Institute aims to instill the values of Righteousness, Integrity and Enlightenment to enable students to contribute to the society and nation. The talents and potential of the students are explored so that they can develop into all round personalities suited to the employment requirements of good schools/educational institutions. Ram-Eesh Institute of Education got approval from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut in the year 1999. This was the first private and self-financed Institute which got affiliation from the University for B.Ed. course. In time, the Institute has gained a name and reputation in the field of teacher education for its commitment in maintaining a high standard of education.

MISSION The mission of Ram-Eesh Institute of Education is: • To provide high quality teacher education to the student teachers of all castes, creeds, religions, cultures, genders, etc. • To provide an environment which develops leadership skills and all round personality of the student teacher. • To prepare the student to face the challenges and demands of the professional world. • To make a meaningful contribution to society by developing the student teachers intellectually and academically as well as instilling the values of Righteousness, Integrity and Enlightenment. • To bridge the gap between theory and practice. The Institute carries a culture with a difference, caring for value based grooming of prospective teachers. PROGRAMME OFFERED Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is a Secondary Teacher Training degree course. This is a regular (face to face) course for those who are desirous to become a Teacher in a Secondary School. This course is compulsory to be a qualified teacher in a School. Duration: Two years (Full Time course) Age Limit: No upper age limit Total number of seats: 50 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA At least 50% marks in any Graduation/Post Graduation course for General and OBC category candidates and for SC/ST candidates only passing marks in graduation are required as per present norms of State Government. ADMISSION PROCEDURE The Institute follows the admission processes and policies decided by the U.P. government and C.C.S. University, Meerut. The State Government has been following the State Level Entrance examination and counseling policy for allotment of candidates to B.Ed. institutions. The Entrance examination is known as Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for B.Ed. Every year, the government gives the responsibility to any one State University to complete the admission process of B.Ed. admissions. All norms regarding reservation and transparency are observed by the admitting/counseling University. Management quota is decided by the U.P. Government. FEE STRUCTURE Tuition fee is decided by the State government for both 1st and 2nd year separately. UNIFORM Uniform is compulsory for all students, to provide dignity and confidence among the pupil teachers and to maintain parity among them.

JOURNAL OF TEACHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH The Institute has been publishing the Journal of Teacher Education and Research biannually since November 2004 and as an e-journal since June 2015. The purpose of this Journal is to foster intercultural communication among educators & teachers nationwide, encourage transactional collaborative efforts in research & development and promote critical understanding of teacher education problems in a global perspective. The Journal is designed to reflect balanced representation of authors from different regions of the Country. PRE PRACTICE TEACHING Every year, pre-practice (simulation, micro & integrated teaching learning process) teaching session is organized for students to develop discipline, self confidence and teaching skills such as set induction skill, explanation skill, stimulus variation skill, illustration with example skill, reinforcement skill, questioning skill, black-board writing skill & closure skill. TEACHING PRACTICE Teaching practice is the most essential part of the teaching learning process. Every year, different teaching skills are developed among the pupil teachers to better the teaching learning process. During the teaching practice, every pupil teacher presents 12 lesson plans in each method. At the time of the lesson plan presentation, faculty members observe the pupil teacher's class teaching as well as the whole lesson plan. Teaching Practice develops self confidence, subject knowledge & teaching skills among the pupil teachers. INTERNSHIP Internship is an integral part of B.Ed. as it is now two year degree course and in the second year, students have to go for internship for four months in Government/Government Aided/ Private schools (Junior High School/High School/Intermediate) of their choice where they learn all school related activities in addition to actual classroom teaching.
ACTIVITIES Talent and Creativity are nurtured among students through various activities which are organized by the Institute. Students are encouraged to participate in various cultural and sports activities like Talent Search competition, Singing, Dancing, Instrument Playing, Just a Minute (Extempore), Poetry Recitation, Debate Hindi & English, Greeting Card Making, One Act Play, Mime, Group Dance, Rangoli, Poster Making, Cooking without Fire, Face Painting, Sketching, etc. Students are also encouraged to participate in different sports activities like Volley Ball, Throw Ball, Cricket, Kho-Kho, Badminton, Three Legged Race, Tug of War, Shot Put, Discus Throw and different Track events. SCOUTS AND GUIDES CAMP The Institute organizes a Scouts and Guides camp every year. This camp inculcates among the students, the values of social service, hardwork, devotion, patriotism, co-ordination, self dependence, etc. The Scouts and Guides Camp is organized by the 'Bharat Scouts and Guides', Gautam Budh Nagar, U.P. Scouts for five days. SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS The Institute regularly organizes seminars and workshops to expose the students to new ideas on teacher education. National Seminars and Workshops on subjects such as Total Quality Management (TQM) in Teacher Education and Human Values and Professional Ethics have been organized. Every year, workshops on Audio-Visual Aids, Art and Craft, Language (Hindi & English) proficiency, Reading & Reflectivity on text and understanding of ICT are organized. PLACEMENT Every year, we help our students in their placement in various reputed Schools and we get a good response from these schools with which our teachers are associated. They get appreciation for their knowledge, practice and dedication towards their profession. Many previous batch students have been selected in U.P. government schools after clearing U.P. TET and C TET exams.
RULES & REGUALTIONS 1. Students must respect all teachers & authorities. They must be courteous and polite to everyone including their fellow students. The property of the Institute is your own property. Any damage done to the property will have to be compensated by the students. Attendance in all activities & functions of the Institute is compulsory. All the students must observe punctuality. Late comers may not be allowed to enter the class. The minimum attendance is 75 percent, as per University norms. Students absent on the previous day without leave application will not be admitted to the class unless a written application submitted. A student, due to illness for more than 3 days, must submit a medical certificate. All possible precautions are taken to prevent accidents in the laboratories of the Institute. The Management, however, is not responsible for any harm or injury caused to the students due to hazardous nature of practical work. The following acts are strictly prohibited within campus. If any student is found guilty of any of the following acts, he/she can be suspended or even expelled from the Institute: • Indulging in Ragging • Use, possession and distribution of drugs, alcohol, or other potentially harmful substances. • Disruption or obstruction of the functioning of the Institute through violence, defiance, force, coercion, threat, intimidation or fear. • Assault or physical injury to faculty, staff or fellow students. • Arson or vandalism of property in campus. • Initiating a false fire alarm. • Theft of any property or things. • Extortion, continual insubordination, or disrespectful behavior. • Forceful, unapproved or irregularly entry (or attempts to enter) of building. • Behavior off-campus to be considered unlawful, or which portrays a negative image of the Institution. • Use of profane, vulgar or other improper language. • Display of unethical physical affection. • Gambling, chain letter, or selling items for personal profit. • Forgery of any nature. The name of student may be removed from the roll if • He/She gives written request, endorsed by her parent/guardian. • He/She is absent without permission/leave, for five days consecutive days. • He/She is expelled or rusticated. • Non-Payment of tuition fees/dues. • Breaking of rules and regulations. No visitor will be allowed to contact any students without prior permission of a responsible person of the Institute/Management. The decision of the administration shall be final.
