  3. EVENT PLANNING SAN DIEGO – 2022 CPO (CHIEF PETTY OFFICER) PRIDE DAY CELEBRATION • Ranch Events has had the honor of being chosen for the 7th year in a row as the catering company of choice for the annual CPO (Chief Petty Officer) Pride Day.  This year the event was held at the Silver State Beach on Coronado Island.  This celebration was an all-day affair beginning at 9 am in the morning and ending at 3 p.m. • To kick off the morning festivities, multiple coffee stations and beverage stations were set-up throughout the venue so everyone could get their morning beverage of choice. • The food was cooked on-site and was served from double sided buffet lines. The mouth-watering menu included barbecued beef brisket, pollo asado, honey glazed ribs, grilled vegetables, cilantro lime rice pilaf, Mac & Cheese, and a multiple salad choices. To satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth, there were two dessert stations that offered double fudge brownies, lemon bars and assorted cookie choices. • The CPO Pride Day annual event began with a few hundred chief petty officers and chief petty officer selects in 2003. It was so successful and meaningful to the participants; the celebration became an annual event and kicked off the start of the Navy’s Fleet Week.

  4. WEDDING RECEPTIONS SAN DIEGO – FALL IN LOVE WITH AUTUMN AND RANCH EVENTS FOR YOUR FALL WEDDING • If you are trying to choose a month for your wedding, there’s something so warm and cozy about fall and this feeling lends itself to make a perfect time for a wedding. The color palette for this season is everything from orange and brown to deep green and the occasional deep purple. You can mimic the browns and oranges you would see out- side and pair them with gold and olive. This season can place an emphasis on natural elements you find in a rural setting, such as rustic farm tables and twigs to hold signs. Lilies and roses can be intertwined with artichokes and grapes that captured the abundance of the season. • Some of the featured menu items can be displayed in pumpkin soup bowls or pumpkins carved into dish like shapes. The dessert table can be laden with apple, pecan, and sweet potato pies. • Gorgeous natural foliage and temperate weather make for great fall weddings. But for all of autumn’s positive attributes, there are still potential issues that you need to keep in mind while planning a fall wedding.

  5. A “THAN YOU” FROM A SATISFIED CLIENT FOR RANCH EVENTS • SOUTHERN-CALIFORNIA-WEDDING-RENTALS • A “THAN YOU” FROM A SATISFIED CLIENT FOR RANCH EVENTS • POSTED ON OCTOBER 24, 2022 • An email was received from a satisfied Client for an October 15, 2022 Event.  The Client says: • “We just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated everything Ranch Events did for our anniversary celebration. • First of all a big thank you goes to Ramon for coordinating and helping us through out. (We weren’t actually planning on spending so much but all of the additions made our event even more special.) Ramon was right about people saying yes to our invites as our numbers went from 50 to 75 to 90!! He was also right about having a bartender. Much better than us having to shag ice and having a grandson pour wine, beer, and hard cider. The layout in our backyard functioned wonderfully.  Putting the chocolate fountain inside certainly made a great deal of sense.

  6. FOOD SERVICES SAN DIEGO – HOW TO CARVE A PUMPKIN – SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS • What would Halloween be without a carved pumpkin sitting on your porch or at the window looking out at all the trick or treaters? Make this Halloween special by carving your own pumpkin. • Tools and Materials you will probably use: • Pumpkin • Keyhole saw • Plaster scraper or fleshing tool • Sharp awl, needle tool, T pin or thumbtack • Miniature saw • Linoleum cutter • Petroleum jelly • STEP #1: Choose pumpkin. Choose a pumpkin that’s large and smooth with a stem of at least 2”. If you plan to put a candle inside, choose a ground that’s at least 9” tall. • QUICK TIP: Pumpkins with smaller stems rot quickly. • STEP #2: Draw circle or hexagon. Draw a circle or hexagon on the top of the pumpkin an inch or two below the stem. Don’t worry if it’s not perfect, but make sure it’s a little bigger than your fist. • STEP #3: Carve through pattern (circle or hexagon). Carve through the pattern with a sharp knife or the keyhole saw – this requires less force, and is therefore safer. Angle your cut so the top of your circle is wider than the bottom, which will ensure that the top fits snugly in place.

  7. EVENT PLANNERS SAN DIEGO – FIRESIDE PARTIES ARE PERFECT FOR FALL AND RANCH EVENTS CAN DO THE PLANNING • If you are looking for a theme for a party, fireside parties this time of year can be your answer. The fall season is a perfect time to host a get-together for your family and friends and what better way to use your fireplace or backyard fire pit as the focal point.  Break out the hoodies, gloves, and warm boots when the invitation arrives and be ready to enjoy delicious autumn cooking. • Take advantage of the expertise and creativity of Ranch Event planners and let them do the work to design an event you and your guests will enjoy.

  8. SAN DIEGO WEDDINGS – FALL IS IN THE AIR AND THAT MEANS AUTUMN WEDDINGS • It’s that time of year, another season change! Break out the hoodies, light the apple cinnamon candles, and settle in with a Pumpkin Spice Latte for Mother Nature’s changing its colors. Autumn can be the best season to plan a fall wedding and one of Ranch Events Coordinators can guide you through the planning and coordination process. The colors of fall: deep reds, pumpkin orange, golden yellows can be beautifully incorporated into your weddings theme. The crisp air and changing leaves remind us why so many people have decided that fall is the best season to tie the knot. • A fall wedding takes as much preparation as any other seasonal wedding and the expert Event Coordinators at Ranch Events have the knowledge and “know-how” to make this a special and spectacular day. The creativity of capturing the feel of fall will make your wedding truly one of the most memorable days of your life. Going the rustic route is also a great theme and there are many ways to incorporate this look into a fall wedding. Ranch Events Coordinator will know just how to make your thoughts and ideas come to life. • One suggestion is to find your nearest orchard and find the perfect pumpkin, add a little ribbon, and voila! A unique twist on a ring bearer’s pillow.
