The way the declaration shall be made: • Legible and prominent. • The net quantity and retail price shall be printed in a contrasting colour. • The particulars of the declaration should either be in Hindi or English. Provisions relating to Wholesalers and Retailers: • Wholesalers or retailers cannot sell, distribute, deliver, display or store for sale any commodity in the packaged form unless it complies with all the provisions of the Legal Metrology Act and these rules. • Any of the retailers cannot sell any commodity in packed form at a price exceeding the retail sale price.
