  3. In 1920, two Italian immigrants and radicals were accused of murdering two factory guards Witnesses said the the criminals looked Italian Sacco and Vanzetti were executed with no solid evidence Sacco and Vanzetti

  4. By 1924 the KKK had 4.5 million members. The Quota System place the max. number of people that could immigrate from each country More Nativism

  5. Elected in 1920, Harding and his Ohio Gang were known for corruption and scandal He died suddenly in 1923 Warren G. Harding as President

  6. Calvin Coolidge became president after Harding’s death Automobiles changed the American landscape Route 66 Commercial airlines began service Keep cool with Coolidge

  7. New Appliances -Washing Machine $150 -Vacuum $50 -Sewing Machine $60 The advertising industry boomed due to American consumerism Life became more expensive

  8. Even though goods became more expensive people kept buying things they could not afford. Installment Plans let people slowly pay off goods while they used them “A dollar down, and a dollar forever.”
