  1. Childproofing Your Vacation Rental Vacations mean unwinding! So allow your guests to feel safe & relaxed by childproofing your vacation rental. Check the carpet for pills, coins, paper clips or any other dangerous objects that a child might put in his mouth. Make sure that you install baby gates, table edge guards, cabinet locks & knob covers. Keep away the lamps, costly artifacts & house plants at a height so that they are out of a  child’s reach. Consider placing a crib, bed railing or a high chair for additional security. Tie the loose cords & tape them to the walls.
