  1. An Easier Way to Upgrade with the Virgin Atlantic Companion Voucher Great news for loyal Virgin Atlantic Flying Club members! As part of its Covid response, Virgin Atlantic is offering new features to make Flying Club more attractive. The use of Companion, Upgrade and Clubhouse vouchers have been made even simpler. All current vouchers will now benefit from more flexible usage conditions. Further details below: Easier use of Companion, Upgrade and Clubhouse vouchers: Virgin Atlantic Companion Vouchers were previously used for: ● You could upgrade from Premium to Upper Class, but you had to be a Gold member to do it. ● A companion voucher similar to the British Airways offer where you received 2-4-1 reward flights for the price of one but had to pay taxes and fees for both on Virgin Atlantic aircraft only. Once again, there were limitations on the class that you could book. If you were Gold, you could only utilise it in Upper. ● A voucher for access to the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse lounge

  2. An easier and simpler way: ● Companion vouchers can now be utilised with any booking class ticket and in any cabin, independent of tier status. Gold and Silver members may book their companion into any cabin for no miles, while Red members can book their partner into Economy and Premium for no miles or Upper Class for 50% off. There are taxes and fees to consider. ● Upgrade vouchers can now be combined with any booking class ticket for a one-cabin upgrade on a return journey (excludes original bookings made in Economy Light). When booking a Virgin Atlantic flight or with Joint Venture partners Delta Air Lines, Air France, or KLM, Clubhouse vouchers will be good for one entry to any Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse (when travelling internationally). Two Clubhouse coupons will continue to be given to Gold members.

Companion, Upgrade and Clubhouse vouchers extended: Virgin Atlantic has extended the validity of Flying Club vouchers that were valid as of March 13, 2020, by another six months, beginning immediately. The extension applies to the following vouchers: Gold member vouchers ● Gold member Companion reward for Gold status renewal. ● One cabin upgrade for Gold members (2000 tier point reward). ● Clubhouse passes for Gold members (1500 tier point reward). Credit card vouchers ● Companion reward. ● Premium upgrades. ● Clubhouse passes. ● Credit card upgrade and 2-4-1 vouchers If you’re looking to add to or kickstart your Virgin Atlantic Points, keep reading: Earning Virgin Atlantic Points Although the Virgin Atlantic credit card is one of the finest non-Amex credit cards for earning miles in the UK, many of the bonuses were previously only available to those with status.
