Mainstreaming Gender – Our experience with the Dominican Republic CAS • The World Bank Group’s strategy over the four-year period covered by the FY06-09 CAS rests on two main Pillars: • stabilize the economy, improve competitiveness, and restore economic growth; and • achieve greater social equity through human development and increased coverage and quality of basic public services. • Institutional strengthening, transparency, gender, youth and environmental sustainability are cross-cutting themes • This is not a results-based CAS (though results-based monitoring system in place at the time of CAS Progress Report
