  1. Why you’re Afraid of Networking Events? How to Overcome It?

  2. Networking can be a bit intimidating. It doesn't matter if an extrovert, introvert or ambivert (a mix of both). Networking means putting yourself out to the world. You get into a routine and a routine one that lets you excel in networking events, without the looming anxiety and time spent second-guessing your own abilities.

  3. Start with a small amount Conferences and networking events such as these can be daunting. Therefore, I'd like to encourage you to take it slow. There are times when jumping in head first is the best way to go, like cutting off a bandage that has been left on for an entire week. Networking isn't always one of those scenarios. Begin by using social media to network. You're connecting with new friends through Instagram constantly.

  4. Connecting (and as well, preparing) Do your research. Don't go in blind. If there's a guest list available for the event that you're going to or hashtags for the event you're preparing for, take advantage of it! Use the time before the conference to have an overview of who will be in attendance.

  5. If you do happen to meet someone you'd like to get to know, be sure to have some conversation starters in your arsenal. People are known to be a bit sexy when they speak about themselves So is there a better method to take some stress off your shoulders than to give them the chance to talk on the stage? In a metaphorical sense, of course. You'll also feel more confident and slightly more relaxed being aware of the people are (hopefully) likely to be seen during the gathering.

  6. THANK YOU
