  1. CBG vs. CBN For Sleep: Which is More Effective?

  2. What is CBG? Cannabigerol (CBG) is one of over one hundred naturally occurring cannabinoids in the Cannabis sativa plant. While it is not as abundant as other cannabinoids like Delta-9 THC and CBD, it has several benefits as the other cannabinoids. CBG is popular for its mentally uplifting effects and potential therapeutic benefits for anxiety and pain.

  3. What is CBN? Cannnabinol, or CBN, is yet another cannabinoid that occurs naturally in the Cannabis sativa plant. Despite being discovered almost a century ago, it was relatively unknown and unused by the general public for decades. However, a few THC users noticed that smoking hemp flower containing high amounts of CBN produced a mellower, drowsier high than something that did not contain CBN.

  4. High-Level Differences Between CBG and CBN • CBG for sleepand CBD have three main differences. • CBG comes from CBGa, which is the “mother of all cannabinoids.” CBN, on the other hand, comes from aging THC. • CBG is somewhat uplifting and energizing, but it does not get you high. Conversely, CBN is deeply relaxing and slightly sedative. It might get you slightly high. • Neither CBG nor CBN are screened for on drug tests. As long as they do not contain THC, you will not fail a test.

  5. Benefits of CBG for Sleep CBG for sleep may help in several ways. While there is not much research looking at the effect of this cannabinoid on sleep, research on CBG for other uses that impact sleep offer additional evidence.

  6. CBG vs. CBN for Sleep: How They Work in the Body Both cannabinoids work via the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS), a system of receptors responsible for regulating some of the most vital functions, including your sleep-wake cycle, mood, and pain and inflammatory responses.
