  2. What is Delta-9? Delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol is the most abundant psychoactive compound found in cannabis and hemp. It usually goes by the nickname “THC” or “Delta-9.” Apart from its psychoactive properties, studies say it may boost the mood, stimulate appetite, help against depression, treat addiction, etc.

  3. Hemp-derived Delta-9 vs "regular THC" The difference between Delta-9 derived from hemp and Delta-9 extracted from cannabis is not scientific. It is arbitrarily based on legislative distinctions. Hemp and cannabis are both different kinds of Cannabis sativa plants.

  4. Delta-9 THC Legality–the Dry Weight Rule for Hemp To be considered legal, hemp-derived Delta-9 THC products have to adhere to the 0.3% dry weight standard. “Dry weight” is the measurement of an object’s mass when completely dried.

  5. Is Delta-9 THC From Hemp Psychoactive? With only 0.3% THC, can Delta-9 THCedibles, gummies, vapes, or flowers really induce psychoactive effects? Yes, they can! However, hemp-derived Delta-9 products can be milder than their cannabis counterparts due to smaller dosages.

  6. Is hemp-derived Delta-9 safe? Hemp-derived Delta-9 products are not regulated the same way that adult-use cannabis or medical marijuana is. Naturally, brands do not have to test finished hemp Delta-9 merchandise for full-panel safety tests.
