  1. Different types of valves used across industries Valves are primarily used in controlling the flow of liquids, gases, and other substances in various industrial processes. Different processes – like handling complex chemical reactions or managing water supply systems or controlling the flow of oil & gases – require different types of valves. Depending on the intended use, valves are designed to meet specific operational requirements. Hence, valve specifications vary across industries, to suit specific functions and applications. Gate valves These are quite like isolation valves, and used to control the flow of liquids through the pipes. They are suitable for use in high temperature and pressure conditions, thus providing a great solution for isolating pipelines in oil refineries. Ball valves As their name, these valves feature a ball to control the flow of substances. The balls are spherical discs that are better at controlling the flow of gases by offering impeccable sealing. Because of their simple structure, they are easy to operate and repair. They have a broad range of application within water supply. Globe valves One of the most popular options, globe valves regulate flow by moving a disc against a stationary ring seat. This design provides precise control over flow rate. The major advantage is its leak control capability, which is far better than others.
