PUMA Objectives • Provide the New State Accounting System (SWIFT) a Link to all Mn/DOT projects. • Provide a Single Source for Generating all SP Numbers • Identify Groups of Projects – the “Bundle” • Data Hub to Operational Data Systems about Projects
Existing SP Numbers • Source Application: • Project Tracking - ~57,000 SP Numbers (State Aid) • PPMS - ~25,300 SP Numbers • MAPS - ~20,800 SP Numbers • STIP - ~2,300 SP Numbers • REALMS - ~3,500 SP Numbers • Aeronautics - ~3,670 SP Numbers
Prime S.P. vs Low S.P. • No longer using low S.P. • Prime S.P. can be determined by • longest control section • most important control section • control section with the largest cost • Control section most likely to remain in the project
