Research • MIMANSA - The Research & Publication Cell of SMMCA: To encourage research and publish relevant and original research work, the institute has started research and publication cell MIMANSA • DOCUMENTATION CELL: This cell has been established by the college for Heritage Conservation Committee of Nagpur Municipal Corporation to document all listed heritage structures of Nagpur. • DESIGN CELL: Design Cell is an activity of the institution with an aim to provide students an opportunity to deal with live projects.  http://smmca.edu.in/

  3. MIMANSA To encourage research and publish relevant and original research work, the institute has started research and publication cell MIMANSA. Under the cell college has conducted many research works in association with students and staff of the institute. It includes – • Climate responsive architecture of Bangkok. • Climate responsive architecture of Goa. • Vernacular Architecture of Vidarbha Region. • Traditional Architecture of Nepal. • Advanced building services and construction in high rise buildings in Dubai. • Tibetan Architecture of Dharmashala. • Regional Architecture of Sri Lanka. • Documentation of local temple complexes at Markanda, Adasa. http://smmca.edu.in/

DESIGN CELL • Design Cell is an activity of the institution with an aim to provide students an opportunity to deal with live projects. • Currently the Design Cell is engaged in offering consultancy services to following agencies - • Pench Resort Amaltash for preparing resort master plan. • Baalwadi and creative center for children for Women’s Education Society. • Sports academy for Women’s Education Society. • Master Plan for South Central Zone Cultural Center. All the above projects are handled by team of members comprising of Professors, teachers and students. http://smmca.edu.in/

  5. DOCUMENTATION CELL This cell has been established by the college for Heritage Conservation Committee of Nagpur Municipal Corporation to document all listed heritage structures of Nagpur. The cell is working on maintenance manual of Grade-1 structures which would help Public Work Department to maintain all grade-1 structures of Nagpur. At the same time this would help in creating knowledge base and awareness of rich heritage of the city. http://smmca.edu.in/

  7. ANUBHUTI • Anubhuti is the first book publication of Mimansa, the research cell of Smt. M. M. College of Architecture. It was inaugurated at the hands of the master Architect Christopher Beninger on the 25th of Oct. 2012. http://smmca.edu.in/

  8. HER SPACE • The annual students’ magazine portrays the colourful and creative world of students and their experiences in their own words. It documents the opinions regarding spaces, nature, life, products. It also showcases literary skills of students. http://smmca.edu.in/

DRUSHTIKSHEP The selected seminars given by the 10th semester students as part of their syllabus are published in the form of ‘Anubhuti’ and released on 8th March, on the occasion of international women’s day celebration. The output of students is based on six months of rigorous work carried out by students during their professional training tenure. After returning from their training, series of reviews leads to refinement of their work and selected seminars are compiled in the form of a booklet. http://smmca.edu.in/

  10. MILESTONE • Milestone is the annual publication of the college which features all the academic, co-curricular and extracurricular activities and achievements of the college in the entire year. Milestone was started in 2007 and is into its 9th year. http://smmca.edu.in/
