Project Goals • Establish and/or improve comprehensive beverage container and other recyclable collection programs at 100low-income multifamily housing facilities in the Monterey Bay Area • Collect and recycle over 1 million CRV beverage containers from the waste stream
Project Objectives • Provide program outreach and promotion to 100 target facilities • Conduct one initial and three follow up waste assessments • Monitor and track volume of beverage containers collected throughout term of the grant • Conduct bilingual door to door outreach and education, Kick-off Fiesta’s, Waste Reduction Workshops, and Facility Staff Trainings • Provide Incentive Awards program • Develop and distribute Manager’s Resource Kit to facility managers and partner agencies • Develop policy and/or contract language for housing lease agreements
