CSIR NET Exam Introduction - CSIR NET is a national level exam which is conducted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) on the bi-yearly basis for those science stream students who want to make their career in Research and Lectureship field. The exam is conducted in five subjects i.e. 1. Life Sciences 2. Chemical Sciences 3. Earth Sciences 4. Mathematical Sciences 5. Physical Sciences
CSIR NET Exam Difference with UGC NET Exam - • UGC NET and CSIR NET exams have differences in various terms. UGC NET Exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency while CSIR NET exam is conducted by Human Resource Development Group (HRDG) of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR). • Primarily these both exams are having differences in two areas i.e. Subjects and Exam Pattern.

As per the conditions of selection put forth by CSIR, top 6% candidates from the merit list will be selected for final appointment.
