  1. Monthly Health Camps by PCF: For a better, healthier society HEALTH Case-study‘He who has health, has hope; and he who has hope, has everything.’ Being healthy keeps you free from all kinds of illnesses and ill-thoughts. You can claim of staying in good health only if you are far from an unhealthy way of living. Ponty Chadha Foundation (PCF) has been actively involved in a ‘health initiative’ of improving the overall quality of life for the ailing and marginalized people in rural areas. This time, we conducted a medical check-up camp in Hathipur Kheda village of Ghaziabad. Check-ups were arranged as per the regular schedule of health camps organised under CSR activities of the Ponty Chadha Foundation. Reaching out to those who need you the most Through this particular camp, we reached out to nearly 90 people residing in the area, out of which 56 adults and 34 children were covered. The medical camp was set up under the direct supervision of Dr. Jyoti Chopra from ‘Dr. Ram Saran Garg Indo-German Hospital’. Our motto behind this initiative was to offer free medical aid and distribute free-of-cost medicines to the needy, ensuring prompt diagnosis and medication for those undergoing health issues. Trustworthy Check-Up, Medicines, Referrals for Poor We extend a helping hand at the grassroots by organising diagnostic health camps in inaccessible parts of the country. Believing that a large chunk of the Indian population still continues to live in villages, we provide help in the form of health benefits particularly to the rural masses. We have treated many patients successfully till now and will continue with such endeavours in future to reach out to more individuals. We also offer referrals to those people who are struggling with severe disorders, and require immediate expert treatment from the hospital.

  2. Shakeel Ali, Pitryriasis Alba Patient To gather more understanding of what we do, take the case of Shakeel Ali into account. Three-years- old Shakeel is usually accompanied by his grandfather, Mustafa Ali when he visits our medical camps. The child’s father had succumbed to his injuries after an accident, leaving behind his grandparents, mother and two brothers. His grandparents are too old to work. So, Shakeel’s mother is the sole earning member of the family and works as a maid apart from stitching in her free time. Shakeel came to us with a problem of scaly patches on skin that he had been facing for quite a long time. But, he neither had the time to go to the doctor, nor the money for their consultation fee. The last time he came to PCF for a check-up, he was diagnosed for a skin problem called Pitryriasis Alba. He was given medicines after examination and was told to continue with it if the condition persisted. This time, it was his follow up visit and doctors declared his condition to have been remarkably improved and gave him ointments to apply. Today, his family really appreciates the work we are doing, especially the door-to-door healthcare services we provide and hence, cannot help thanking us endlessly. Our camp services cover women, elderly and the poor ones in the ambit while taking an inclusive approach towards development. By facilitating such prompt aid to the marginalized sections, we aim to bridge the widening demand for medical services. After all, there’s no real progress if the nation isn’t healthy and active. Making easily accessible healthcare a ruling reality, PCF medical camps are paving way for a better, healthier society.
