  1. FOR THE LOVE OF PINK A kid’s section in any mall can easily be segregated into girls’ vs boys’ just by looking at the color of the clothes. While pink is the dominant color for young girls, blue is the popular color for young boys. Even though there are a wide range of pastel colors to choose from, parents usually zero on pink for girls and blue for boys, whenever they find themselves at crossroads. More than just mere colors, then can be regarded as elements for gender identity which are simply hard to resist. Even though this gender labeling started as early as mid 19th century, it was only in the 20th century, when it became a popular culture. It became a trend to doll up little girls in cute shades of pink and boys in bright blue shades. For example, whenever there is a birth in the family, the first thing we want to know is whether it’s a girl or a boy. The process then starts in finding the best shade of pink and blue to compliment the little baby, as per their gender. Their nursery would then be decorated with Pink toys, Blue Superhero Wallpapers, etc. While there is no strict norm to restrict the colors to a particular gender, many people sticks by it, as the charm of these colors are hard to miss! Below are some of the gifts one can gift a little baby/kid, based on color are-

  2. For Girls If it’s a girl, you can gift a cute little Pink Fairies Baby Girls Wall Clock or a Pink Decor Girls Growth Chart, to document the growing up years of the child. A baby gift basket with matching pink colors is also a great idea. The gift basket can contain things such as toys, onesies, diapers, baby cream & shampoo, bows etc. A color coordinated set of a pink pram, baby mosquito net and a baby stroller is also a wonderful idea. A pink princess gown is almost every girl’s dream apparel, making it an ideal birthday gift for a young girl. Add a pair of matching shoes and tiara to complement the beautiful dress. For Boys A basket containing toys such as blue elephants, socks and fabric shoes is a beautiful gift for a baby boy.  Most of the young boys love toy trucks, trains and robots, which are available in a wide variety of blue shades. Blue and white quills depicting a starry night or an underwater scene can also be a lovely present to a young kid who loves a bit of fantasy in his room.
