  1. Southend Fertility & IVF Southend Fertility and IVF offers a comprehensive Infertility Management Programme under one roof to couples who find problems in having a child. This centre was started in 2001 and has performed consistently well since then. We boast of complete transparency in treatment, compassionate staff, lively environment and promising results. Patients who come back to us after failed cycles are a reflection of confidence and satisfaction in our mode of treatment. Our philosophy is to analyze patient problems and offer the most appropriate therapy – 30 – 40% of the patients therefore do not undergo IVF in our centre. This is contrary to popular belief that patients are always made to undergo IVF in a facility such as ours.

  3. First Steps There are a number of introductory steps that might be required before you begin your treatment at Southend. These could include: Seeking the support and involvement of your gynecologist. Referral to a local hospital/nursing home for investigations and possibly some treatment. 3. The possibility of more investigations or surgeries such as hysteroscopy or laparoscopy as directed by your consultant at the hospital.

  5. Preparation For Treatment For your protection and that of any child, we will need certain blood test results before we offer you treatment. Prospective parents must have a negative result for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV. We must also have evidence that the prospective mother is immune to rubella, as well as her sickle cell anaemia and Thalassaemia status for those in high-risk groups. Prospective mothers (and fathers who might need any surgical procedure) with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of over 30 should try to reduce this number before starting treatment.
