Over the past year, teachers have realized that many things can be done using the internet to make learning interesting and engaging.

ADAPTING TO THE NEW NORM OF EDUCATION AND TEACHING STYLE Amidst this pandemic, traditional classroom learning has become almost impossible and for young kids, this would not happen for quite some time until there is the official announcement that the world is freed from the virus. Over the past year, teachers have realized that many things can be done using the internet to make learning interesting and engaging. Young students, especially primary school kids who are just learning to adapt to this form of learning online, may not be sure of what should and can be done. In this situation, parents need to step in and guide (not spoon-feed answers) so that this does not seem any more challenging than it actually is.

  3. THE DOS… BE ATTENTIVE: The biggest drawback of online learning is that it can be difficult for children to sit at one place and listen carefully through the session. In classroom setting, when the teacher is physically present, it is a compulsion for children remain at one place and listen. SCIENCE TUITION: Science home tutors in Singapore are well-trained and they keep themselves up-to-date with the changes in education policies and syllabus which allows them to provide the best guidance for students to excel in Science at a rapid rate.

  4. THE DON’TS… LACK OF UNDERSTANDING: Students do not consciously make an effort to understand their learning methods and study process. This makes them ineffective learners, unfortunately. It is important to understand your learning preferences and work around that framework. INDEPENDENT LEARNING: Students have to take initiative by themselves to search for answers to questions they don’t know and they need to continue taking the necessary steps to progress somehow. When it comes to online learning, students take ownership of their own learning and no one will be there to molly-coddle.
