The term “minimalism” first popped up in the art world in the 1960s. These artists favored simplicity over complexity; in minimalism, there was no need for hidden implications or overdone compositions. Everything could be taken at face value, and there was beauty to be found in restraint. Perhaps the painter/sculptor explained it best when he said simply, “What you see is what you see.”

We curate the Superfine Prints images using the same rigorous standards we apply to our website, and we select photographs we’d love to see on our own walls at home. All of our prints are exclusive and limited edition, and our price point is perfect for any collector. We include a diverse range of established and emerging photographers working across genres, disciplines, and geographical and political boundaries. We’re proud of the photographs we’ve chosen, and we use high quality, acid-free, pH-neutral archival paper to show them off the way they were meant to be seen--in person!
