Pari Tablets (Generic Paroxetine Hydrochloride Tablets) Uses of Pari 10 mg, 20 mg, 30 mg and 40 mg Tablets: Pari (Generic Paroxetine tablets) is a type of antidepressant known as an SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor). Pari (Generic Paroxetine Hydrochloride Tablets) is used to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), social anxiety disorder (also known as social phobia), premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Paroxetine belongs to a group of medicines known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). These medicines are thought to work by increasing the activity of the chemical called serotonin in the brain. Paroxetine helps many people recover from depression, and it has fewer unwanted effects than older antidepressants. It works by helping to restore the balance of a certain natural substance (serotonin) in the brain. Pari Tablets (Generic Paroxetine Hydrochloride Tablets) Treatment of Pari Tablets Overdosage No specific antidotes for Paroxetine Hydrochloride (Pari Tablets) are known. Treatment should consist of those general measures employed in the management of overdosage with any drugs effective in the treatment of major depressive disorder. Ensure an adequate airway, oxygenation, and ventilation. Monitor cardiac rhythm and vital signs. General supportive and symptomatic measures are also recommended. Induction of emesis is not recommended. Due to the large volume of distribution of this drug, forced diuresis, dialysis, hemoperfusion, or exchange transfusion are unlikely to be of benefit. A specific caution involves patients who are taking or have recently taken Paroxetine who might ingest excessive quantities of a tricyclic antidepressant. In such a case, accumulation of the parent tricyclic and/or an active metabolite may increase the possibility of clinically significant sequelae and extend the time needed for close medical observation. In managing overdosage, consider the possibility of multiple drug involvement.
