  14. Zinetac Tablets (Generic Ranitidine Hydrochloride Tablets) Warnings The possibility of malignancy should be excluded before commencement of therapy in patients with gastric ulcer and in patients of middle age and over with new or recently changed dyspeptic symptoms as treatment with Ranitidine may mask symptoms of gastric carcinoma. Ranitidine is excreted via the kidney and so plasma levels of the medication are increased in patients with renal impairment. The dose should be adjusted in patients with renal impairment. Regular supervision of patients who are taking non-steroidal anti- inflammatory drugs concomitantly with Zinetac tablets is recommended, especially in the elderly. Current evidence shows that ranitidine protects against NSAID associated ulceration in the duodenum and not in the stomach. 15. Zinetac Tablets (Generic Ranitidine Hydrochloride Tablets) Warnings Rare reports suggest that Ranitidine Hydrochloride may precipitate acute porphyric attacks in patients with acute porphyria. Zinetac tablets should therefore be avoided in patients with a history of acute porphyria. In patients such as the elderly, persons with chronic lung disease, diabetes or the immunocompromised, there may be an increased risk of developing community acquired pneumonia. The prolonged use of H2-receptor antagonists, may impair the absorption of protein-bound Vitamin B12 and may contribute to the development of Cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) deficiency. 16. Zinetac Tablets (Generic Ranitidine Hydrochloride Tablets) Zinetac Tablets and Alcohol It is best not to mix Zantac and alcohol. It is possible for most people to take Zantac with small amounts of alcohol safely, but it could be dangerous. The dangers of mixing Zinetac and alcohol include increased effect of alcohol. However, avoid consuming alcohol as it is known to increase acidity and can make your acidity worse. 20. Zinetac Tablets (Generic Ranitidine Hydrochloride Tablets) Zinetac Tablets Overdosage There has been limited experience with Ranitidine Hydrochloride (Zinetac tablets) overdosage. When overdosage occurs, the usual measures to remove unabsorbed material from the gastrointestinal tract, clinical monitoring, and supportive therapy should be employed. Reproduction studies have been performed in rats and rabbits at oral doses up to 160 times the human oral dose and have revealed no evidence of impaired fertility or harm to the fetus due to Ranitidine. There are, however, no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Because animal reproduction studies are not always predictive of human response, this medicine should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed.
