Typical L shape loft conversion in Walthamstow E17

This was a typical L shape (double dormer) loft conversion - one of many we do in Walthamstow. Terraced houses normally are quite small and a loft conversion or a kitchen extension is an option to choose rather than move to a bigger house. We added two extra bedrooms and an-suite bathroom in this house. The client was quite tall and a standard ceiling height of just a little over 2 metres wasn't good enough so we came up with the idea to add more roof skylights. These big skylights take quite a bit of ceiling area and give that bright and spacious feeling.

Ideally we would like to have windows installed before plastering takes place, but increasingly it's never the case: normally customers choose high spec windows that have long lead times.
