Pop-up using container control in Power Apps In Power Apps, you can create a pop-up effect using a container control. The idea is to show or hide the container control based on user actions . Here's a step-by-step guide to creating a pop-up using a container control: Create a New Screen: • Go to your Power Apps app and create a new screen where you want the pop-up to appear. • Add a Button: • Add a button to the screen. This button will be used to trigger the pop-up. www.visualpath.in
Add a Container Control: • Add a container control to the screen. You can find the container control in the "Insert" tab. The container control will act as the pop-up window. Design the Pop-up: • Design the content inside the container control as you want it to appear in the pop-up. You can add text, images, buttons, or any other elements you need. www.visualpath.in
Set Container Control Properties: • In the "Properties" pane, set the following properties for the container control: • Visible: Set the default visibility to "false" so that the container is hidden when the screen loads. • Width and Height: Adjust the width and height to your desired dimensions for the pop-up. www.visualpath.in
Add Action to the Button: • Select the button you added earlier. • In the "Properties" pane, find the "OnSelect" property and click on the ellipsis (three dots) to open the formula bar. Write the Formula: • In the formula bar, write the formula to toggle the visibility of the container control when the button is clicked. You can use the "Set" function to change the "Visible" property of the container control. www.visualpath.in www.visualpath.in
Example Formula: • textCopy code • In this example, we assume you've created a variable called "isPopupVisible" to control the visibility of the container control. • Handle Container Control Visibility: • Now, in the container control's "Visible" property, you can use the variable you created in the previous step to determine its visibility. www.visualpath.in
Example Formula: • textCopy code • Close the Pop-up: • To close the pop-up, you can add a close button inside the container control with an "OnSelect" formula to hide the container control again. Example Formula for Close Button: • textCopy code • Preview and Test: • Save your changes and preview the app. Now, when you click the button, the container control should appear as a pop-up. When you click the close button inside the pop-up, it should disappear. www.visualpath.in
