  1. Guilhermo Queiroz: Sustainability and Circular Economy Entrepreneur Bringing Innovative Biotech Solutions to Market at Biosolvit The Business Magnate. Guilhermo Queiroz, Founder and CEO, Biosolvit. Today's Industries and communities are rapidly increasing and prioritizing sustainability practices and the imperative transition to a circular economy. The biotechnology industry emerges as a pivotal force in driving such initiatives and practices with the finding of new, innovative, and sustainable biotechnologies and solutions to combat our adverse global challenges. This biotech sector not only offers us innovative solutions for reducing environmental impacts but also plays an essential role in fostering a more sustainable planet. Over the years, the biotechnology industry has immensely contributed to creating and developing solutions and technologies that help the earth through other industrial areas like agriculture, farming, aquatics, environmental cleanup, research and development, medicine, and much more. Like Brazil’s Biotechnology company in Rio de Janeiro - Biosolvit, has been redefining the industry since 2014 with its three essential areas of business in Research and Development, Aquatic, and Environmental Cleanup. While working on core areas of Research and Development at Biosolvit, the Industrialization of products for the preservation of flora in the BioGreen Line, and the Industrialization of products for the conservation and treatment of water in the BioBlue Line, Biosolvit is applied to sustainability and circular economy at its core. We acknowledge the kind of power that the biotechnology industry holds in being positioned at the forefront of developing eco-friendly alternatives, enhancing resource efficiency, and driving the shift toward renewable resources. Its contributions are imperative for achieving a greener future, benefiting both the planet and its inhabitants. Therefore keeping in line with the important presence and contributions made in the biotechnology industry in the world today, this article shall shed light on the journey of Brazil’s sustainable business and Biotechnology Company - Biosolvit. Founded and led by Guilhermo Queiroz in 2014, Biosolvit’s mission is aimed at making the planet a better place to live in. Guilhermo Queiroz - Visionary and Entrepreneur of Sustainability and Circular Economy: With a mission to “make planet Earth a better place to live,”Guilhermo’s goal for Biosolvit “comes from the understanding that everyone needs to take daily responsibility for pursuing this purpose.” Guilhermo Queiroz founded Biosolvit in 2014 and has the company’s headquarters established in Barra Mansa, Rio de Janeiro. The founder is an enthusiastic and passionate entrepreneur and visionary in driving sustainability and enabling circular economy practices through his work in the biotechnology industry. With vast experience that covers oil and gas,

  2. water treatment, and software and services, Guilhermo has been intensely devoted to being a driver of change and achieving sustainability in several ways every day for the good of the planet and its inhabitants. Guilhermo, a biotech entrepreneur, has an education that includes studying Data Processing and Systems Analysis in IT and securing an MBA Master’s in Economics and Business Management from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV). The founder went on to take part in a TOTVS executives program for an Executive Development group at Ibmec and became a Project Delivery Executive (PDE) for Economics and Business Management. Guilhermo was also a PDE for an Executive Development in Administration and Business Program at Dom Cabral Foundation. His career includes working in leadership roles like being the CEO of TOTVS Operations, Vale do Paraiba, Baixada Santista, South Fluminense, and Rio Interior. Guilhermo was also a Strategy Advisor at ENTERTAINMENT before becoming the Founder and CEO at Biosolves/Biosolvit. The latter which is his main focus currently, is applied to the development of new innovative materials in biotechnology sourced from discarded industrial waste materials in production processes, and of renewable sources of raw materials. Biosolvit, a biotechnology company in Brazil with business verticals focused on Research and Development, BioGreen Line, and BioBlue Line, has since placed the company competitively in the market having the search for more innovation and technology in its veins. For “a better world, every day,” Biosolvit is driven by sustainability and economic viability as constant guiding forces. Biosolvit - Solving Environmental Problems with Sustainability and Circular Economy: With Biosolvit overseeing operations in three business verticals in the Research and Developmental area, the BioGreen area, and the BioBlue area, the company aims to become a reference in the biotechnology industry for its contributions to the development and application of innovative products from renewable sources. The BioGreen Line oversees business in the manufacturing of products developed for preserving flora. In this line, Biosolvit has managed to use the discarded plant fibers of palm trees to make natural and ecological Xaxim plant pots highlighting the once-extinct Palm Tree Xaxim. Revived from discarded renewable sources of raw materials, the biomass is collected and reused for creating ecological gardening plant pots. The BioBlue Line oversees business in the preservation and treatment of water. In this line, the product developed and manufactured is the Natural Absorber. This biotechnology innovation effectively absorbs oil spills and other derivatives that are leaked into seas, oceans, and lands. The absorbed oil or derivative ensures that it is reused as the product manufactured by Biosolvit has a lower disposal cost. Made from reused organic wastes from

  3. Brazilian crops, BioBlue’s Natural Absorber absorbs 95% of oil twice as quickly as any other competitive product in the market. Another initiative by Biosolvit and its founder was Bio Collab. The goal behind creating and establishing Bio Collab was to bring together researchers to work in the research and developmental business area of Biosolvit. To work in cooperation, Bio Collab promotes the “union of efforts in the development of projects with disruptive potential.” Just this year in March of 2024, Biosolvit partnered with Project Germinar, to train recyclable material collectors in Barra Mansa and Volta Redonda. With a belief in driving sustainability in a supportive world, Guilhermo extends utmost support for this project for its initiatives in the regeneration of the planet with Biosolvit. Therefore with the company’s ESG goals that prioritize land and water preservation, treatment, and clean up, Biosolvit does its part in positively impacting the ecosystem through biotechnology solutions.
