CPT - Common Proficiency Test What is CPT? • Common Proficiency Test is organised by the ICAI-The Institute of Charted Accounts Of India and it is the basic level of exams of chartered Accountancy in India. • Who are the eligible for CPT? • No minimum age to get register for this course. • Minimum Educational Qualifications • To get registered at the CA CPT Course • 10th exam qualified student by any central government recognized board or conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India. • To appearing at the CPT Final Exam • Appearing student of 12th standard. • A student has passed in 12 th standard.

Exam Pattern Of CPT • Pattern Of CPT Exam • Two session for exam: • Session 1 (Total marks-100, Time limit-2 hours) • Section A: Fundamentals of Accounting (Total Mark 60) • Section B: Mercantile Laws (Total Marks 60) • Session 2 (Total marks -100,Time limit-2 hours) • Section C: General Economics (Total Marks 50) • Section D: Quantitative Aptitude ( Total Marks 50)

Qualifying criteria in CPT Exam • Minimum of 30 % marks in each subject • An aggregate of 50% marks for passing CPT. • Special-0.25% of negative marking for each wrong answer. • Next milestone after clearing the CPT Exam- • Students are eligible to register for IPCC ,it is the next terminal of CA course. • Now the student is eligible to register for Group 1 and Group 2 papers. • After 9 months from the date of registration of the IPCC (Integrated Professional Competency Course). • The one week of ‘Orientation Course’. • IT training for 100 hrs.
