  1. Dental Crowns: Everything you need to know Dental crowns provide a fundamental restoration for missing or chipped teeth. They are produced using durable materials that can be modified to emulate your natural teeth. Dr. Torres specializes in all-porcelain crowns to deliver holistically beneficial results. The design of a crown is a multi-step process. Your tooth is prepared by removing the outer portion to establish space for the crown. After your tooth is prepared, an impression is taken to produce a rubber model. The model is transferred to a lab where the crowns are fabricated. During the fabrication process, a temporary crown will be provided to protect the teeth and allow normal functions. Once the final restoration is ready, we place the permanent crown on your teeth through safe procedures.

  2. A crown is beneficial for a number of situations, including fractured teeth, discolored roots, and damaged dental implants. They can also be the final restoration for a root canal therapy.
