Given an urn with 20 marbles 8 of which are green, what is the probability of choosing a green one?
P(green) = # of green marbles # of marbles P(green) = 8/20 or 40%
This also means that if you perform the experiment many times, let’s say 100 times, you’d expect to choose a green marble 40 times.
