TranslationsInLondon are a London (UK) based language service provider offering services that include; translation, proofreading, transcription, localization, chouchoutage, consecutive and telephone translation in addition to ad-hoc interpreting services. Established in June 2010, TranslationsInLondon has continued to build and maintain a solid international client base including many large corporations while maintaining a personal relationship with our smaller clients. TranslationsInLondon has a database of over 1000 professional translators, all of which hold advanced degrees in translation-related fields in addition to 3 or more years of translation experience. Many of our translators come from specialist backgrounds meaning we are able to give you, the client, the most accurate and technically correct translations possible.   5. Quality Assured Quality Assurance is a key component of our translation management process. Our QA process enables the delivery of consistently excellent translations while allowing us to continuously keep developing our services. TranslationsInLondon is unique in that for each new customer, our Language Resources Team pre-selects translators based on their experience in the required subject matter. Both a translator and reviewer work on each project (where clients choose review). The reviewer checks for correctness, appropriate writing style and consistency of translation. Our Translators All of our translators must: • Be native translators with a higher-education degree(preferably in language) • Have at least 3 years professional experience • Pass interviews and rigorous subject–specific language tests. • Be proficient in the use of CAT tools All of our translations are completed by in–country, native speakers of the target language and reviewed for accuracy and style by a second linguist who is a specialist in the subject matter Copyright©TranslationsInLondon Ltd 2013

  7. The Translation Process: Phase 1 Project Preparation: The project manager appoints a project team, prepares a project kit/glossary and provides technical training for team members if necessary. The project manager is responsible for pre-assessing any project in order to foresee potential problems and find feasible solutions in advance to avoid any unexpected setbacks. The Translation Process: Phase 2 Translation, Editing and Proofreading Process (TEP): • Query reports and regular meetings are used to share information, keep track of progress and resolve any difficulties promptly. • Editors reviewall translations by comparing the targetlanguage against the source language. Accuracy, grammar,spelling and writing style are checked thoroughly. • Proof readers also simulate the experience of the end user bychecking the text without referring to the sourcedocuments. The Translation Process: Phase 3 Quality Assurance Process: • TIL perform a final Quality Assurance check using a 3rd linguist to ensure the translation is error free. • TIL use TM (Translation Memory) tools to create project specific glossaries that aid all translators and proof-readers working on a project. TM tools help maintain language consistency across multiple projects and translators. • TM tools aid consistency during a translation project. The Translation Process: Phase 4 Sign off and summery: • A sign off meeting is held among the project team members and the QA manager to perform a final review of the completed project to ensure all of the requirements have been satisfied with the required quality. • The PM and QA manager internally evaluate the project quality and team members performance.
