Introduction • It is an I or H cross-section beam with flanges and webs that are horizontal and vertical elements, respectively. The RSJ Mast provides railway trains with electrification, or electric power. The electricity is delivered to the trains via transmission and distribution.
How RSJ Masts Are Made Of ? These RSJ steel beams are made of mild steel, Fabricators can also use other materials like aluminium. Each beam is formed by extrusion, cold rolling, or hot rolling.
Types Of RSJ Must 1. RSJ - Rolled steel joist 2. BFB - Broad flanged beam 3. B-type fabricated mast
RSJ - Rolled Steel Joist The rolled steel joist (RSJ) is a common beam used in structural steelwork. It is also known as an ‘I-beam’. An RSJ is a beam with an ‘I’ or ‘H’-shaped cross-section that comes in a variety of standard sizes. The rolled steel joists are a very efficient for carrying bending and shearing loads.
BFB - Broad Flanged Beam The structural steel channel, also called a C-beam or Broad Flange Beam (BFB), is another type of beam whose cross section consists of a wide "web" and two "flanges" sticking out on one side.
B - Type Fabricated Mast These masts are fabricated by channels and flats. They are welded in B design. Mechanically, these structures are independent. It is this independence that makes the best OHE design.
Conclusion There are various types of RSJ masts I have mentioned. So, before you buy keep in mind these points. I have mentioned all things about RSG mast and types of masts which will be use as per requirements .
