  1. Which Kia Sportage Model Is Right for Me?

  2. The 2017 Kia Sportage ranks 5 out of 18 Compact SUVs. The redesigned 2017 Kia Sportage is one of our highest-scoring compact SUVs and one of the most well-rounded vehicles in the class. It has a smartly designed interior, lots of available features, and a sporty, yet comfortable ride. The Sportage should be a consideration for almost every compact SUV shopper.

  3. The 2017 model year welcomes a redesigned Kia Sportage, so this overview only features research and reviews from the 2017 model. 2017 Sportage is available in three trims: LX, EX, and SX Turbo. The LX is the base model, and the SX Turbo is the top of the line. When comparing the LX versus the EX, you'll notice that both feature the same powertrain. However, the features really separate the two trims. The EX comes standard with many features that are options in the LX, and the EX is available with many features that you can't get at all in the LX. The SX Turbo comes standard with pretty much every feature you can get in a Sportage.

  4. Select the right model really comes down to two main factors: your budget and which engine you want. If you’re looking to get an affordable small SUV without breaking – and you don’t mind missing out on some more advanced information and driver best features – then the LX will suit you just fine. If price is affordable of a factor and you want all the bells and whistles that the Sportage has to offer, then you want the EX or the SX Turbo. Almost all of the tech and convenience features that the Sportage offers are available in the EX, and they come standard in the SX Turbo. However, the SX Turbo comes with some extra styling touches and is the only trim that features the 240-horsepower turbocharged engine.

  5. 2017 Kia Sportage LX The LX is the Sportage base trim, While there are less expensive compact SUVs – like the highly rated Mazda CX-5 – most class rivals cost more than the Sportage. The Ford Escape and Honda CR-V cost about more, respectively, and several competitors have cheapest price. The LX features the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, and standard features include Bluetooth, a six-speaker audio system, satellite radio, and a 5-inch touch screen. The only standard driver assistance feature is a rearview camera, which also comes standard in many of the Sportage's classmates. Unlike the Ford Escape, the Sportage does offer all-wheel drive in its base trim, The Sportage LX also offers packages that add heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver's seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and the UVO infotainment system with a 7-inch touch screen, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.

  6. 2017 Kia Sportage EX The EX trim starts cheap price (MSRP). It features the same engine/transmission combo as the LX trim, but the EX comes standard with features that are optional or unavailable in the LX trim, like the UVO infotainment system, dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, and heated leather seats. There are two available EX packages (choose one or both) that low cost and add features including a panoramic sunroof, a heated steering wheel, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, a Harman Kardon audio system, and an upgraded UVO system with navigation and an 8-inch touch screen.

  7. 2017 Kia Sportage SX Turbo The SX Turbo starts at westside kia and is the only trim that features the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine. The turbo-four has 59 more horsepower than the base engine, but it also gets worse gas mileage, so there is a tradeoff. As for features, the SX Turbo comes standard with almost every feature you can get in a Sportage, including a panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a Harman Kardon audio system, and the UVO infotainment system with an 8-inch touch screen and navigation. Advanced driver assistance features like blind spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, and lane departure warning also come standard in the SX Turbo.
