  1. $72M​​​​Award​​​​in​​​​J&J​​​​Talcum Powder​​​​Case​​​​in​​​​Favor​​​​of Woman A​​verdict​​made​​by​​an​​appeals​​court​​in​​Missouri,​​in​​favor​​of​​Alabama​​woman stating​​that​​Johnson​​&​​Johnson​​talcum​​powder​​caused​​her​​​fatal​​ovarian cancer​​​which​​in​​turn​​led​​to​​her​​death​​and​​deceased​​woman’s​​family​​claimed $72​​million​​as​​a​​compensation​​of​​their​​damage. The​​Missouri​​Eastern​​District​​Court’s​​on​​Tuesday​​adjudged​​that​​the​​state​​was the​​improper​​jurisdiction​​to​​hear​​a​​lawsuit​​filed​​by​​Jacqueline​​Fox,​​62​​(who had​​passed​​away​​before​​her​​case​​went​​to​​trial),​​of​​Birmingham,​​Alabama, who​​claimed​​that​​the​​baby​​powder​​she​​used​​for​​about​​25​​years​​contributed to​​her​​cancer.​​The​​court​​reversed​​the​​decision​​to​​award​​Ms.​​Fox​​the​​$72 million​​indicating​​that​​the​​state​​of​​Missouri​​does​​not​​have​​jurisdiction​​over injuries​​occurring​​outside​​of​​its​​borders. https://versionweekly.com/news/health/72m-award-jj-talcum-powder-case-favor-woman-346 31.html
