For this to work, you need to give an option for ECS (Credit) to the company from whom your payments are due Institutions like UTI, ICICI, and Tata Finance have already started using ECS to make dividend payments.
ECS (Debit/Rapid) With ECS (Debit/Rapid) service, utility bills like water, telephone & electricity can be directly debited as and when they are billed. For this to work, you are required to give a one-time option to your utility company and rest is taken care of. At present this service is available for electricity and telephone bill payments in Mumbai and Chennai and is expected to extended to all major cities. ECS payment returned via SB account is charged Rs.22/- per occasion and if it's returned through CA/OD/CC A/c then its Rs.29/- per occasion.
Electronic Funds Transfer: NEFT NEFT stands for National Electronic Funds Transfer and it is an electronic payment channel for quick transfer of funds. Introduced by RBI for facilitating bank transfer of one customer bank/branch to other customer of any participant bank/branch. At present there are 11 hourly batches during which customers can transfer their funds using NEFT during weekdays (9:00-19:00) and 5 hourly batches on Saturday (9:00-13:00). There is no minimum and maximum amount criteria for NEFT and it is available at all Core Banking Solution Branches (CBS) of Vijaya Bank. Charges for NEFT are Upto Rs. 10000 : Rs. 3.00 Rs 10000 upto Rs. 1.00 Lakh: Rs.6.00 Above Rs.1.00 lakh to 2.00 lakh: Rs.17.00 Above Rs. 2.00 lakh: Rs 29.00
Electronic Funds Transfer: RTGS RTGS stands for Real Time Gross Settlement System and is considered as a quick mode to transfer funds online. Set up, operated and maintained by RBI. Vijaya Bank is a member of the RTGS. One of the quickest ways to transfer funds for Corporates and Individuals. Amount transfer more than Rs.1.0 lakh can be sent / received through RTGS and it's available at all Core Banking Solution Branches (CBS) of Vijaya Bank. For fund transfer, IFSC (Indian Financial System Code) of sending bank/branch and receiving bank/branch is required. Customer timings to submit RTGS requisition between 8.00 am to 4.00 pm - on working days 2nd and 4th Saturdays - Holidays RTGS timings for processing at RBI from 8.00. am to 4.30 pm. - on working days 2nd and 4th Saturdays - Holiday. Charges for RTGS are: Rs. 34.00 for fund transfer between Rs.2.00 lakh to less than Rs.5.00 lakhs Rs.63.00 for fund transfer above Rs. 5.00 lakh and above.
