  2. Flash When there just is not enough available light to do the trick or if the photographer wants to 'freeze' action or overcome harsh daylight or shadows. Average cost is between $400 and $600. Double if you want a back-up.

  3. The Camera Professional quality DSLR's start around $2000 and can as much as $8000. Multiply that by two if you want a back up!

  4. Lenses Depending on the photographer's style and situation, each can cost between $500 and $2000, with lenses designed for low light situation found near the top of spectrum.

  5. Memory A smart wedding photographer doesn't put all their photos on single card. And high speed cards are more expensive. $30-$200 per card depending on size and speed.

  6. Computer and Software A quality machine that can handle photo editing plus the software to edit with. At least $1000 for the computer. A current version of Photoshop is $700. Light room is $130. Plus whatever storage requirements you may need.
